Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within our Health and Wellbeing Services division. Kalwun Health and Wellbeing Service delivers a primary health care service to the people of the Gold Coast & surrounding communities.

About the Role
The Medical Receptionist will provide quality customer service, effective and efficient administration support and you will play an integral role in our overall patient engagement and attendance. You will be working in a professional environment assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a range of complex health related issues. Based at our busy Coomera clinic, we are seeking an individual who can work under pressure in a fast paced environment, multi-task, and remain compassionate at all times.
Position Duties
- Booking and confirming client appointments
- Providing efficient and courteous customer service
- Providing administrative support to clinical staff
- As this is a key front line role, you must be well presented, welcoming and professional
- General office duties
- Experience in an administrative role within the healthcare industry is desirable.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills
- Prior experience working in a front line customer service role
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Considerable tact and diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proven ability to display professional courteous manner when dealing with patients, staff and the general public
- Ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative
- Understanding of Medicare billing items is desirable
- Current Qld C class drivers licence.
